The facts are not in dispute.

On 11 April 1955, Ruth Ellis shot and murdered her lover, David Blakeley, outside a Hampstead pub.
Ellis was found guilty and became the last woman to be hanged in Britain.
But why was she so keen to admit her guilt, and so loth to offer any defence, even refusing to name – until too late – the person who gave her the loaded gun?

Plans for our spring 2018 production, The Thrill of Love, are well underway, with performances already booked in Tavistock, Sterts at Upton Cross, Lydford, Meavy, Callington and Bere Alston.  The tour will run from Saturday 24th February until Saturday 10th March.

We are actively seeking people to help backstage on this production; we need technical help (no experience necessary as training will be given), and help getting in and out of venues, selling tickets and front of house duties.

If you are able to help in any way, please contact the Secretary

CHRISTMAS SOCIAL
Tuesday 28th November 2017 (tbc)

Our Annual pre-Christmas celebration will this year be combined with the Cheshire Cats After Show party. We would love to make this a real party with Tavonians cast members and volunteers from our 2017 productions, Tavonians members (current and past), partners and friends coming along for a great night out.

Our Social Secretary (Rosy Griffith) is organising a meal followed by entertainment (quiz, cabaret or short play - provided by you, of course!  Offers?).

The location and menu is yet to be finalised but is likely to be a 2 or three course meal for a set price at a local pub.  £5 deposit per person will be required.   As we need to pre-book and give choices in advance, the deadline for booking will be one week prior to the party.

Please notifiy your interest as soon as possible to the Secretar
